🔥 Who's Recruiting at Ivy Tech Sellersburg
The Kentucky Career Center's official event listing names 15 employers and says many more are coming:
- Manufacturing and distilling: Ford Motor Company, Sazerac, Orion Wholesale
- Energy and heavy equipment: LG&E and KU Energy, Boyd CAT
- Health care: Norton Healthcare
- Banking: Republic Bank, Stockyards Bank & Trust
- Government and law enforcement: Louisville Metro Government, Indiana State Police, the DEA
- Hospitality and gaming: Omni Hotel Louisville, Caesars Southern Indiana
- Building trades: Central Midwest Carpenters and Local 502
The listing tags the fair with skilled trades, registered apprenticeship, IT, finance and business, energy, construction, advanced manufacturing, health care and hospitality. The apprenticeship angle is the one to notice. Union carpentry and utility programs are earn-while-you-learn routes into a trade.
⚠️ Read This Before You Drive Over
The first two hours belong to veterans. If you are not a veteran, plan to arrive at noon, not 10:00.
The listing does not post an admission price, a registration link or a contact number, and it does not say which building on campus the fair uses. Southern Indiana Works has fielded questions on regional fairs at (812) 280-5693, and the Kentucky Career Center in Louisville at (502) 388-3010. A quick call before you go is worth it.
One more thing: the fair is in Indiana, but many of these jobs are not. Louisville Metro, Norton, Republic Bank, Omni and Ford's two Louisville plants all hire for work on the Kentucky side. Ask each recruiter where the job actually sits before you plan your commute.
📋 How to Show Up Ready
- Ten or more one-page resumes, plus a PDF on your phone.
- A photo ID. Veterans should bring a DD-214 or other proof of service for the morning window.
- Licenses, certifications and any CDL or trade credentials.
- A full work history with dates and references. The law enforcement and government tables will want all of it.
- Business casual and shoes you can stand in for an hour.
🔎 Start Applying Before November 17
