What Opened, and Where It Fits
Arvato is a third-party logistics provider, which means the boxes on its shelves belong to its clients. A brand hands over its inventory, and Arvato receives it, stores it, picks it, packs it and ships it, either straight to a customer's door or out to stores.
The company's announcement says the new site was built for late order cutoff times, so it can ship direct-to-consumer orders faster and handle urgent freight such as spare parts and critical equipment. Louisville has long sold logistics companies on its airport and UPS Worldport, and late cutoffs are exactly what that location is for.
With this site, Arvato runs more than 4 million square feet across its seven Louisville-area operations. The building also carries more than 1,300 solar panels, EV charging stations and electric heating.
Who Is Backing It
The Governor's office announced the opening on October 7, Mayor Craig Greenberg attended the opening, and One Louisville CEO Trevor Pawl called Arvato a major player in the city's logistics success. Gov. Andy Beshear tied it straight to paychecks: "The 150 new jobs created from this expansion will provide new opportunities for Kentuckians to earn a paycheck."
No investment figure, incentive package or street address was announced.
⚠️ What We Don't Know Yet
Here is the honest part. Arvato has not published a pay rate, a shift schedule or a list of job titles for this building, and the state did not break the 150 jobs down by role. There is no hiring event on the calendar for it either.
Fulfillment centers usually staff pickers, packers, inventory and shipping clerks, forklift operators and shift leads, but treat that as a guide to what to search for, not a promise of what is open. Get your resume ready, watch for postings, and apply through Arvato's official job search. The company's careers site also warns that scammers send unsolicited emails pretending to be Arvato recruiters, so do not hand over personal details to anyone who contacts you first.
🔎 Where to Aim Now
Arvato is one building in a corridor packed with them, from the Outer Loop to Shepherdsville along I-65. If you want to meet warehouse employers face to face this week, FedEx, Sabert and Algood Foods are on the roster for the Kentucky Career Center hiring event on Wednesday, October 21.
