A Job Fair Built for a Two-State Commute
Plenty of people who live in Jeffersonville, Clarksville or New Albany work in Louisville, and plenty of Louisvillians cross the Kennedy or the Lincoln Bridge to work in Indiana every morning. This expo is built around that. KentuckianaWorks, which runs the Kentucky Career Center offices in the Louisville area, teamed up with Southern Indiana Works to put employers from both states in one hall on the same day. As Southern Indiana Works operations director Tim Renners put it to The Lane Report, "workers and companies cross state lines, so why shouldn't our hiring events?"
The Expo Center sits right off I-65 and the Watterson, next to the airport, so it's one of the easier places in the city to reach from the Indiana side.
🔥 Who's Recruiting
The organizers' list of confirmed employers includes East and Westbrook Construction, Grainger, ISCO Industries, Libs Paving, Omni Hotels, Sazerac, Stellar Snacks, Well Spring KY and Winland Foods. Coverage of the event adds Caesars Southern Indiana, Ivy Tech Community College, the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Life Safety Services, Louisville Metro Government, Norton Healthcare, Terracon Consultants, Transcend Credit Union and the University of Louisville.
That is a wide spread for one morning:
- Production and food manufacturing: Sazerac, Stellar Snacks and Winland Foods.
- Construction, industrial supply and engineering: East and Westbrook, Libs Paving, Grainger, ISCO Industries and Terracon.
- Health care: Norton Healthcare and Well Spring KY.
- Hospitality and gaming: Omni Hotels and Caesars Southern Indiana.
- Public jobs and education: Louisville Metro Government, the Kentucky Department of Corrections, the University of Louisville and Ivy Tech.
- Banking: Transcend Credit Union.
The organizers haven't published a full roster or the specific openings each employer is bringing, so call (502) 388-3010 if you are going for one company in particular.
📋 How to Show Up Ready
- Bring a valid photo ID. The organizers ask for it.
- Print more resumes than you think you need. With 50-plus tables, ten copies goes fast.
- Dress business casual and wear shoes you can stand in for a few hours.
- Have your work history with real dates on hand. Public employers like Metro Government and Corrections run formal applications and background checks, so treat those tables as the start of a process.
- Get there early. The hall is open four hours, and the busiest tables have lines by late morning.
More Louisville Hiring Events in October
If Tuesday doesn't work, October has three more public events. The Kentucky Career Center runs a job fair at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus on West Broadway on October 13, JobNewsUSA has a free fair at L&N Stadium on October 14, and the Career Center hosts a 19-employer hiring event downtown on October 21. Different events, different rooms, different employers. Every date, time and address is in our fall 2026 Louisville job fairs guide, and the stadium fair has its own page.
